1985
Earl Doss, alongside Mr. John Horky, founded Doss and Horky in 1985. At the time, the company specialized in bridge construction and concrete work, laying the foundation for what would become a trusted leader in the construction industry.
2009
In 2009, Earl Doss, the founder of Doss and Horky, passed away. Rhonda Doss, his daughter, took over as President of the company, continuing her father's legacy. Under her leadership, Doss and Horky remained committed to delivering exceptional general contracting services, while expanding its reach in the industrial, commercial, and utility construction sectors
2019
In recognition of his contributions and leadership, Justin was promoted to Vice President in 2019, further strengthening the company's ability to deliver high-quality services and manage complex projects in the industrial, commercial, and utility sectors.
1995
In 1995, Rhonda Doss joined the company, working alongside her father, Earl Doss. Her addition to the team marked an important milestone for Doss and Horky, as the company continued to grow and expand its expertise in general contracting, concrete work, and other sectors of the construction industry, including industrial, commercial, and utility construction. This diversification allowed Doss and Horky to serve a broader range of clients and tackle larger, more complex projects.
2015
In 2015, Rhonda’s son, Justin Doss, joined Doss and Horky, taking on responsibility for the day-to-day operations of the company. Justin played a key role in growing the substation and utility construction side of DHI, helping to expand the company's capabilities in this specialized field.
2025
As Doss and Horky grows, the company remains a proud, family-owned business, led by President Rhonda Doss and Vice President Justin Roution. The DHI team has expanded, bringing together a skilled and diverse workforce committed to quality, integrity, and excellence. Long-time employees, with their experience and dedication, play a key role in mentoring new staff and maintaining high standards.
Focused on general contracting, substation, utility, and industrial construction, DHI delivers innovative solutions to meet client and community needs.
