At Doss & Horky Inc, we’re proud to be working alongside Danville Independent High School on an exciting enhancement project that will create new opportunities for learning and community engagement. The “Anchor Plaza” project, located at the front entrance of the school, represents our commitment to creating accessible and innovative educational environments.
Project Overview – Danville Independent High School
Our team is currently focused on several key improvements that will transform the school’s front entrance area. The centerpiece of this initiative is the construction of an outdoor amphitheater and classroom space, designed to provide students and faculty with a versatile environment for both formal instruction and informal gatherings.

Enhancing Accessibility
A major component of our work involves improving ADA access throughout the front entrance area. We’re dedicated to ensuring that all students, staff, and visitors can navigate the space comfortably and safely. Additionally, we’re enhancing the building’s accessibility from Lexington Avenue, creating a more welcoming and functional approach to the school.
The Anchor Centerpiece
True to the project’s name, Anchor Plaza will feature an impressive 8-ton anchor as its centerpiece. This striking element will serve as both a focal point for the plaza and a lasting symbol of strength and stability for the school community.
Looking Forward
The Anchor Plaza project represents more than just physical improvements—it’s about creating spaces where learning can flourish in new and exciting ways. We’re honored to contribute to Danville Independent High School’s mission of providing exceptional educational opportunities for its students.
Stay tuned for updates as this transformative project continues to take shape.
