Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and driven Construction Estimator to join our team. The Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate and comprehensive cost estimates for construction projects, analyzing drawings and specifications, coordinating with subcontractors and vendors, and supporting project teams from bid through award. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, field experience, and a solid understanding of construction means, methods, and materials.

Key Responsibilities

Review project plans, specifications, and related documents to prepare accurate cost estimates.
Develop detailed quantity take-offs and pricing for labor, materials, and equipment.
Solicit and analyze subcontractor and supplier quotes to ensure competitive pricing.
Assist with bid preparation and submission, including clarifications, exclusions, and scope letters.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and superintendents to ensure estimates align with project execution plans.
Maintain historical cost data and develop cost benchmarks for future projects.
Conduct site visits as needed to understand project conditions and constraints.
Participate in value engineering and constructability reviews.
Track and update cost changes, revisions, and addenda during the bidding process.
Support post-bid analysis and handoff meetings to project teams.

Qualifications

3+ years of experience in construction estimating, preferably in commercial, industrial, civil, construction.
Strong understanding of construction documents, drawings, and specifications.
Excellent mathematical and analytical skills.
Strong communication and organizational skills with attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and meet bid deadlines.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Project, Outlook).
